Hi
I want to tell you something about Norway today.
Norway is a Part of Scandinavia bordering Sweden, Finland and Russia, with a population of 4,600,000. The Capital of Norway is Oslo with a population of 533,000.
The landscape is generally rugged, there are mountains on the top of them are glaciers. Norway’s coastline of over 83,000 km is punctuated by fjords, and of course there are a lot of islands exactly 150,000. The Northern part of the country is also known as the Land of the Midnight Sun, because of its northern location, where for part of each summer the sun does not shine, and in winter there is everything dark for long periods.
Norway's highest point is the Galdhøpiggen at 2,469 m. Hornindalsvatnet is Norway's and Europe's deepest lake.
The Norwegian climate is fairly temperate.
When you spend your holidays in Norway, you should visit one of the National Parks.
They were built to protect the nature against the pollution. For that reason visitors must be particularly careful, if they move in national park. For example, you are not allowed to take a souvenir like a plant or a stone with you.
The People in Norway lives in small houses built of wood. A typical colour is red and white.
Over the half people in Norway do sports. The popular sports in Norway are Football and Ski.
Other popular activities are fishing, swimming, boating and wandering.
They relax by reading a book or go into cinema. Almost every Norwegian is in a Club.
The parents are often both employed. Because there are enough kindergartens. Most of the family’s have more than one child. The birthrate is much higher then in Europe.
(Viele Familien wohnen in einem Eigenheim oder einer Eigentumswohnung. Mehr als ein Drittel der Familien verfügt zusätzlich über eine Hütte im Gebirge oder am Binnenmeer. )
The Films in Norway are not translated into their language, they are in English, and so you can visit a cinema, without learning Norwegian.
A fjord is formed when a glacier retreats, and the see fills with saltwater. Fjords are excellent natural harbours. The Fjords were often used for fishing or shipbuilding.
Some of the world's largest coral reefs were discovered along the bottoms of the Norwegian fjords.
Some historical information’s:
In the 9th century Norway consisted of a number of petty kingdoms.
During the first- and the second world war, Norway remained neutral. However, a huge Norwegians died.
So das wäre das bis dahin. Mehr habe ich noch nicht
